Everest Base Camp and Childreach International
Childreach International thanks 16 Staffordshire University students who, during the summer, will undertake Challenge Events in aid of the charity. The challenges include cycling through the Himalayas and trekking to the Everest Base Camp. Currently, the students are on track to raise £40,130 by July 2012.

Thank You to Diversity
A group of enterprising students from Stoke Sixth Form College are collecting signatures of support and to say “Thank You to Diversity”.
The students are taking part in the national “Rise To” Enterprise Challenge, and chose diversity because “Stoke-on-Trent and the Sixth Form College are very multi-cultural and we thought our campaign would relate to a lot of people; it’s at the forefront of our college and our community.”
They have been challenged to collect as many signatures and messages of support as they can.

Sciences Centre - looking good!
The entry into Stoke on Trent on Leek Road is transformed with the new University Sciences centre almost complete. University staff are now relocating into their new workspaces and overseeing the interior being finalised ready for the new academic year in September 2012.
"Student expectations continue to grow, and these ambitious plans go a long way to improve the overall study environment and access between our key sites and the sites of our College partners in the UniQ" says Paul Richards, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Staffordshire University.
"This is a brilliant opportunity, not only for our current stduents but also our new intake, of having access to University class facilities", says Paul Mangnall, Deputy Principal, City of Stoke on Trent Sixth Form College.

Stoke Children's University Graduation
Young learners from 7-14 celebrated their acheivements at Gold, Silver and Bronze levels at their graduation ceremony at Staffordshire University. They were applauded by their parents, carers and teachers - donning their gowns and mortar boards, they enjoyed afternoon tea.
