Public Exhibition - University Quarter - Environmental Improvements to Streets
RENEW North Staffordshire appointed Taylor Young in May 2010 to develop design options for improving the streets within the University Quarter. These design options will form the blueprint for the delivery of physical improvements to the area in next few years and will complement the educational led regeneration work.An initial consultation drop-in event was held on Friday 11th June, where the community had an opportunity to give their views on the issues and priorities for the area followed by an exhibition on Wednesday 14th July The Pavilion, Staffordshire University, College Road. This exhibition presented the environmental improvement options that have been developed based on the initial feedback received.

Art in the park event finds Common Ground with residents
A WEEKEND of creative activities took place at the heart of the University Quarter (UniQ) as artists from Staffordshire University, the local area and the wider UK showcased their work.
Workshops, live music and performances were held over the two day Common Ground event at Hanley Park – on June 26 and 27 – when visitors also explored the park for sculptures, paintings and other artworks.

Over 900 runners take part in the 2010k
OVER nine hundred people turned out for the 2010k run, an event to celebrate the federation of the centenary of Stoke-on-Trent.
The event, sponsored by Staffordshire University and officially started by Honorary Doctor Lee Pearson CBE, was launched by Stoke-on-Trent City Council as part of the City’s Festival of Sport.
